Round Table: The Challenges of Nonviolence in Violent Environments
February 24, 2010Library on Wheels for Nonviolence and Peace Association in cooperation with the Press and Cultural Affairs at the US General Consulate in Jerusalem has set up a Roundtable: The Challenges of Nonviolence in Violent Environments with Dr. Clayborne Carson Professor of History and Founding Director Martin Luther King Jr., Research and Education institute Stanford University, California, with the participation of Palestinian academics, nonviolent activists, representative of several NGOs and governmental organization.
Professor Carson spoke about his experiences in Martin Luther King Jr.’s Vision of Global Liberation. The meeting hosted a series of questions, interventions and requests. Professor Carson was accompanied by Mr. Frank J. Finver – Consul for Press and Cultural Affairs-, Ms. Cynthia Harvey – Cultural Affairs officer – and Ms. Suzan Nammari – Senior Cultural Affairs Specialist.
